Fontaines D.C. Announce Huge UK Shows for 2027

Fontaines D.C. have announced the biggest UK headline shows of their career, with five huge outdoor dates confirmed for June and July 2027. The announcement arrives on the same day tickets went on sale for the band’s 2026 arena tour, with their entire UK run selling out as Fontaines continue a remarkable rise that has taken them from clubs to festival headline slots and now some of Britain’s largest outdoor venues.

The Dublin five-piece will begin the newly announced run at Blackweir Fields in Cardiff on June 29, before heading to Newcastle’s St James’ Park on July 1 and Manchester’s Heaton Park on July 3. Glasgow Green follows on July 6, with the run culminating at London Stadium on July 9. Little Simz and Viagra Boys will support Fontaines D.C. at all five shows.

The dates will follow another pair of landmark concerts in the band’s home country. Fontaines will play two nights at Slane Castle on Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27, becoming only the third Irish act to headline the legendary venue after Thin Lizzy and U2.

It represents another extraordinary jump in scale for a band who only days ago delivered their first Reading Festival headline performance, closing a shortened but emotional set with ‘Starburster’ before cameras picked out a guitar carrying the words ‘Trev Forever’ in tribute to their late manager Trevor Dietz.

All seven shows arrive in support of Fontaines D.C.’s fifth album, ‘Dopamine Chamber’, which is released on October 16 via XL Recordings.

The timing of the Slane concerts will also fuel speculation surrounding Glastonbury 2027. Both shows fall across Glastonbury weekend, but Fontaines currently have no performance scheduled for Friday, June 25, leaving a potentially significant gap in their itinerary before the first Slane date.

Nothing has been confirmed, but with Fontaines having moved from Finsbury Park to headlining Reading & Leeds and now announcing Slane Castle, Heaton Park, St James’ Park and London Stadium, another Worthy Farm appearance would hardly feel out of place.

Tickets for the five newly announced UK shows go on general sale at 10 am BST on Thursday, September 10. An artist pre-sale begins at 10 am on Tuesday, September 8, with fans who have already pre-ordered ‘Dopamine Chamber’ receiving automatic access.
