Bloom Baby Bloom

The long awaited Wolf Alice return was announced yesterday (1st May 2025). The band had begun teasing new era, on social media and shared lyrics to a new song via email, to fans who had signed up. 

An instrumental for an upcoming track was also shared, and fans began to get excited. 

Following the instrumental, the band added a playlist of influences to their Spotify.  It was then shared on the bands.  Twitter/X account, also featured tracks such as ‘Plastic Jesus’ by Tia Blake, ‘Should I B’ by Lil Yachty, ‘That’s All For Everyone’ by Fleetwood Mac and ‘Fallen Fruit’ by Lorde

Alongside the playlist, new photos of the band emerged, these were shared to Ellie Rowsell's Instagram profile. 


These were all just teasers though, the officical annoucement is in the form of a new single 'Bloom Baby Bloom' which will be released at 18:30 BST on Thursday 15th May. 

The forthcoming single includes the previously revealed line “Every flower needs to neighbour with the dirt“. Other lyrics read: “Do I have to make you, sit on your hands/ Fucking baby, baby man/ Do you want me to show you, who I am/ See this fire in my eyes boy/ That’s your flash in the pan.”

‘Bloom Baby Bloom’ marks Wolf Alice’s first material since their 2021 third studio album, ‘Blue Weekend’. The critically-acclaimed record went to Number One in the UK, and was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize.

It's an exciting time to be a Wolf Alice fan, with this announcement and Glastonbury just around the corner, a new album cannot be far away.
