It has been a good day today (9th May 2025) if you are a fan of the boys from Birmingham. The Clause released a new single this morning 'Nothing's As It Seems' a three and a half minute slice of indie brilliance. With one of the bands best choruses to date, the band have really upped the ante since the release of 'Weekend Millionaire' at the back end of last year.
'Nothing's As It Seems' will be a main stay in the bands setlist for a long time, it will also feature on the bands debut album. Which was also announced today.
'Victim Of a Casual Thing' will be released on the 17th of October 2025, 'Nothing's As It Seems' is the first single. The band have teased a huge tour announcement next week for their biggest tour to date.
News of the album follows the annoucement that The Clause will play their their biggest concert to date, a show at Birmingham's O2 Academy on December 19th in front of a 3000 strong crowd.
The gig will see the band perform their biggest headline show, as well as a return to their hometown.
Fans are able to pre-order the album from here
After the release of the brilliant 'Pop Culture' and the even better 'Weekend Millionaire' EP's, a debut album was the next logical step for The Clause. I'm really excited to hear more, the first single is brilliant.
The band deserve the success, they write brilliant songs, and have been touring relentlessly for years. The bands frontman Pearce, posted this on X today following the annoucnement.
They are one of the hardest working bands in the country and I wish them nothing but success with this record. See you at the Academy.
