Oasis Ruled Out of Glastonbury 2027

Oasis are heading back on the road next year for their huge Live ’27 tour, which includes a run of stadium shows across the UK and Europe. Among them is an 11-night homecoming residency at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, the home of Liam and Noel Gallagher’s beloved Manchester City. 

The run concludes on Saturday, June 26, the same weekend as Glastonbury 2027. That immediately caught the attention of fans. With Oasis having no show scheduled for Sunday, June 27, the final night of Glastonbury, speculation quickly grew that the band could make a return to Worthy Farm and headline the Pyramid Stage. However, one obvious problem with the theory remained. 

A Sunday appearance would mean Oasis playing on consecutive nights, something they are not scheduled to do at any other point on the Live ’27 tour. They also avoided playing three shows in succession throughout their Live ’25 reunion run.

Now, Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis appears to have poured cold water on the rumours.

After the festival shared details about tickets for Glastonbury 2027, one fan commented: “Please say you’ve got Oasis.” Eavis, who was tagged in the comment, responded simply: “Sorry Jimmy, not this time!”

It is the clearest indication yet that Liam and Noel Gallagher will not be returning to the Pyramid Stage next summer, despite the conveniently placed gap in their touring schedule. No acts have officially been announced for 

Glastonbury 2027, with the festival’s first major line-up poster traditionally arriving in the spring.

That has not stopped speculation over who could headline. Sam Fender, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Little Simz have all featured among the early bookmakers’ favourites, while Harry Styles, Radiohead, Fontaines D.C., Muse and The Rolling Stones have also been linked with possible appearances.

For now, though, it looks as though one of the most obvious gaps in Oasis’ Live ’27 itinerary really is just that: a gap.
